2. Briefly explain what it is.The Press Complaints Commission is an independent body which deals with complaints from members of the public about the editorial content of newspapers and magazines.
3. What are the codes of practice?All members of the press have a duty to maintain the highest professional standards. The Code, which includes this preamble and the public interest exceptions , sets the benchmark for those ethical standards, protecting both the rights of the individual and the public's right to know.

6. choose a real life case from the archives and briefly explain what happend and what the pcc did.In a case this time involving someone in the public eye, we liaised with Chris Tarrant's manager to minimise the heavy media attention on Mr. Tarrant's wife following their separation. She was feeling harassed by the large number of journalists who had set up outside her house. The PCC sent out a desist message on her behalf explaining that she did not wish to speak. Very shortly afterwards, the media began to disperse.
